The District is taking part in the national “See Something, Say Something” security initiative this holiday weekend.  DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier is asking residents and visitors to take note of their surroundings and report suspicious items or activities to police. The campaign is part of the expanded federal information-sharing partnership with Amtrak that highlights the public’s role in bolstering security on the rails and mass transit.
