In a music culture that had produced many different personalities of artists who have etched their individual marks on the go-go scene, my guest today is one who stepped on the scene as a teenager. As a matter of fact, he started his GoGo journey at the age of 13 with a band called Crank Connection. And for the next few decades, his passion and talent have allowed him to grace the stages of such band as Central Groove, Ayre Rayde, Hot Cold Sweat, AM/FM, Proper Utensils, Chuck Brown, A Touch of Essence, Familiar Faces, Wisdom Speeks, Trouble Funk… and now actually rockin with a new click that goes by the name of Push Play.
