30 Years? Wow… can you believe that? The first time I ever seen these cats perform was back around 1980-81. We all were working for the DC Department of Recreation’s Showmobile program. And this particular show was at a function that Mass Extinction was playing, and when they took a break, they introduced these little guys who had their buckets and other made-shift equipment ready to perform. It was the Junkyard Band. During ME’s in intermission, the young dudes rocked a solid socket and dazzled the crowd of patrons for about 15 minutes.
At any rate, I’m not gonna talk your head off with my go-go experiences (you’ll have to wait for the upcoming book). Let’s take a look at some videos and go back down memory lane, while we get ourselves syced on up for their upcoming 3o Year Reunion Show, which will be held on April 16, 2011.
