Martin Lawrence… Animated Comedy Based on His Growing Up in D.C

Well…  all you Sha-Nay-Nay and Otis fans, hold on to your seats.  DC native Martin Lawrence is slowly making his way back to television.

Though, this time, he’s doing things behind the camera.

Lawrence currently has three shows in development with his production company Runteldat and two shows even have network commitments.

Fox has picked an animated comedy of his, writted by Rodney Barnes, which is based on his experiences growing up in the D.C. area.

The former Martin star is also developing a family comedy set at a funeral home.

Lawrence is also working on one featuring an interracial family which, is based on the comedy of Gary Owen and that’s been picked up by Starz.

Darice Rollins, Runteldat’s director of development, added “We all thought he is hilarious.”

And Martin must think he’s funny too. Cause he’s probably laughing all the way to the bank.

Let’s see if we can get him to pump up some Go-Go tracks on this DC Animation!
