We are saddened to have learned of the passing of DeeJay Legend Rodney Eugene Barbour —  better known to the DC music and cabaret scene as DC Fatts. If you’ve come up within the cabaret scenes here in the DMV, there is no way you can not know of the work and legend of DC Fatts.  Known as the man behind the Zodiac Super Jocks, he was also one of the founders of the Mobile DJ in the DMV. He was impressed with the online upgrades that the DMV had made over the last year — even though the document which the DMV required to verify his new address, a Word file that anyone could have slapped together, was hardly foolproof. Metro Holds Ceremony To Mark 1st Anniversary Of Fatal Crash

Family and friends of those killed in Metrorail’s deadliest crash gathered to remember their loved ones on the first anniversary of the tragedy. Metro marked the day with a ceremony Tuesday at the Fort Totten station and the dedication of a plaque bearing the names of the nine people killed. Several speakers praised the efforts of train operator Janice McMillan, who is credited with saving many lives in her last moments by slamming on the train’s brakes.
