(Prince George’s County, MD) – State and local officials are launching a 100-thousand-dollar program to fight gang violence in two of Prince George’s County’s most troubled middle schools . A 50-thousand-dollar grant from Maryland’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention is being matched with another 50-thousand-dollars from the United Way of the National Capital Area, to create seminars, films and other programs to keep kids out of gangs and help gang get out.
